Module 1: Formal Japanese
Before we get into the fun part, it's important to learn formal Japanese (keigo), especially since the rest of the course will depend on it!
Module 2: The Essentials
Employment as a flight attendant requires knowledge of airplane parts, staff titles, and essential phrases like greeting and apologizing to passengers.
Module 3: At the Airport
Off to the airport! Learn the places and things you'll find at an airport and how to ask for and give directions.
Module 4: Passengers Needing Assistance
Some passengers, including people traveling with infants and people using wheelchairs, may need a bit of extra support. We'll learn how to do this.
Module 5: In-Flight Announcements
Announcements are such an important part of the job. We'll learn and practice many different types of announcements that you'll be doing!
Module 6: Serving Food & Beverages
There's so much more to it than "Chicken or beef?" so we'll cover a wide variety of questions and phrases that you'll use when serving food and drinks on board.
Module 7: In-Flight Sales
How do you support a customer who needs some help shopping on board? You'll learn all about that in this module.
Module 8: Responding to Passengers
We'll cover how to respond to passengers who lost an item on the plane, who have questions about the customs cards and more!
Module 9: Emergencies
We always need to be prepared for emergencies, whether it be medical, fires, earthquakes, or something else. This module will prepare you language skills.

DO I NEED TO JOIN EVERY OFFICE HOUR?
No, you don’t need to join every office hour - but we recommend that you come as often as you can. You can pre-submit your questions and watch the replay if you can't join!
WHEN ARE THE OFFICE HOURS HELD?
Office hours are held every second month, on the first Thursday of the month. If you're not able to join in-person, pre-submit your questions and/or watch the replay! Each office hour includes a mini-lesson or review.
WHEN DOES THE COURSE START AND FINISH?
The course starts when you join! When you finish will all depend on your schedule. You may be able to get through all of the content in two weeks, but it'll likely require review and practice before you're ready to take the qualifying test and interview. Don't worry! We all learn at different speeds and have different schedules. Go through the course content as many times as you like!
HOW IS THE COURSE DELIVERED?
Everything is online, within the course area. You'll be given the schedule and links to join the live office hours, plus 24 hour access to the entire course. If you need support, you can send an email any time, and you'll get a response via email and/or during office hours!
HOW LONG DO I HAVE ACCESS TO THE COURSE?

Hi, I'm Sachi! こんにちは、幸です！
I was raised in a biracial, bicultural, and bilingual family. Unaware that my father could speak English, I began interpreting for my parents around age 2. I started translating, editing, and proofreading while in university, taught English in Japan after completing my Master's degree in Linguistics and a TESL certificate, and then began teaching Japanese after I returned to Canada.
I realized through my travels to and from Japan that many flight attendants who were non-native Japanese speakers struggled in certain areas, including culturally appropriate levels of formality and ease of communication with Japanese passengers. After further research and consultations with them, I created a one-of-a-kind course, and this free starter guide to help you level-up your skill set to seeing you inside the course!
